FUND RAISER
I need your help. Please email me at legion108@mooseunits.org. I am thinking about getting a Texas Hold'em license at Ionia. This is a 4 night 6pm to 2am Thursday thru Sunday. I would need 4 people to help. This is a easy fund raiser. If we get some players we can make $700.00 or $800.00 in four night. Thank You. Gayle

Help Mooseheart School win $500,000!!!
A Few Mouse Clicks Mean $500,000 to Mooseheart School ... or Not.

If, by just clicking a computer mouse a few times over five to ten minutes, you could send a HALF-MILLION DOLLARS to help Mooseheart's kids, you'd do it -- wouldn't you?

We sure hope so.

Thanks to Kohl's department stores, that's the opportunity we Moose members have!

Between now and Friday evening, September 3, by just "voting" for Mooseheart School as your "favorite school" on the "Kohl's Cares" page on Facebook, we Moose members can get that $500,000 from Kohl's Cares Foundation for Mooseheart School!

That's $500,000 we then WON'T need to ask from the men and women of the Moose to help operate Mooseheart's school this year!

If you have a Facebook account (easy to set up), if you're 13 or older, and you're a U.S. resident -- just go to http://apps.facebook.com/KohlsCares, follow the directions to vote the maximum allowed FIVE (5) times for Mooseheart School -- and that's all there is to it!

Please ask your spouse, your family and all your friends to do the same!

If Mooseheart School finishes among the top 20 schools in nationwide voting, we'll receive a Kohl's Cares check, payable to Mooseheart School, in the amount of $500,000!

It costs you $0 -- just a few minutes of your time! What an easy way to fulfill our membership obligation to "support Mooseheart with my energy and substance"!

PLEASE don't let this opportunity pass us by! Your Mooseheart students need you to vote, NOW!

Warm fraternal regards,
William B. Airey (Director General) and Scott Hart (Executive Director)

Moose Legion accomplishments; The Moose Legion has raised money for many projects, the metric running track, House of God, Bell Tower, Camp Ross. Each year we receive a prject to raise money, this year it is to purchase 15 passanger vans. Each Moose Legion is asked to raise $1.50 per member to purchase these vans. The Board of Directors voted to pay the committment out of the general fund. We have done this now we need each Moose Legion Activity Unit in each Lodge to raise money to help replace these monies. We did not run a raffle this December because of the number of other fund raisers. I have given each Lodge Moose Legion Activity Unit a list of members and how much we need to put back into the treasury of Southern Michigan Moose Legion 108.

We also have been charged to raise $0.50 cents per member each year for the Youth Awareness Scholarship program. This supplies 5 ( five ) Scholarships rangeing from $12,000.00 to $1,000.00 to be presented at the Annal Youth Awareness Congress held each spring. As you can see we, The Moose Legionnaires has a great reponsibility to our Mooseheart foster sons and daughters.

Endowment Fund Collections; At the meetings of the Moose Legion Activity Unit meetings when you take up the Endowment Fund, you the Moose Legion Assistant Secretary either gives it to the Lodge Administrator and get a check from him and send it to me, Moose Legion Secretary, you may also deposit in your personel account and send the check to me. Gayle Kinney, Secretary Southern Michigan Moose Legion 108.

REMEMBER IF YOU HAVE 5 CANDIDATES FROM YOUR LODGE OR TWO LODGES CLOSE TO EACH OTHER, EXAMPLE CHAROLTTE & DEWITT OR LOWELL & IONIA WE WILL COME TO YOU TO DO THE ENROLLMENT. FEES ARE $10.00 AND $17.00 FOR A YEARS DUES. REMEMBER BELONGING TO THE MOOSE LEGION AUTOMATICALLY SUPPORTS OUR FOSTER SONS AND DAUGHTERS AT MOOSEHEART, WITH CAMP ROSS AND OUR SENIORS AT MOOSEHAVEN.
